Would you like to see your school here?

Would you like to be part of this great platform, where we share articles from the different DIS schools; whether it is student or class led articles, funny or interesting articles or research based articles…just send us your stories.

By Manon Blaxland and Ingrid Schmoutziguer, DIS communication team

Since we started our online ‘DIS news’ 6 months ago, we have created over 30 articles from more than 15 schools, who are all part of Dutch International Schools. And every month, we like to publish around 6 stories here on the website under ‘News’. All these articles are sent in by “ambassadors” from the different DIS schools. Once published we share the news link with our community of ambassadors and Directors of the schools, who in their turn share this with the wider teams. Did you know that we have more than 20 Dutch International Primary Schools and nearly 20 Dutch International Secondary Schools?

Why do we do this?

Being part of Dutch International Schools gives great opportunities. Not only can we share our knowlegde internally across our community and learn from each other, it is also about positioning DIS in Dutch Society, focusing on the following three themes; Ownership of teaching and learning – Competitiveness/’Vestigingsklimaat’ and International Mindedness.

So as a first off, we wanted to share our articles with you, to get a sense of belonging, share knowledge across our DIS commuity, but it is also about creating more brand awareness and promoting our schools across the wider community, our new families and Dutch society.

Would you like to become a DIS ambassador?

Do you like to write stories, and do you like your school to be in the spotlight – and share the great insights from your school? Then why not send us your story now… ! This can be about a fun schooltrip or an article about a specific subject the children have learned, a new initiative you have started or even an interview with the director…anything that you think your colleagues across DIS would like to hear about. And don’t worry, you don’t have to send us a story every month (you can of course!). We hope by creating the ambassadors community that many schools will join and share their stories.

We can’t wait to hear from you, so please just drop Ingrid Schmoutziguer from International School Utrecht or Manon Blaxland from Optimist International School an email. We look forward to hearing from you.

Join our ambassadors community – share stories, knowledge and connect our community!
